The whole free survey business is a corrupt racket. You can’t make any money completing paid surveys. No one is actually going to pay you for sharing your opinions. Free online surveys and scams are peas in the same crooked pod.
That’s what "they" say. As is so often the case, however, "they" are 100% wrong.
Few industries get the kind of negative comments reserved for paid surveys. Why are so many people convinced this rock-solid online moneymaking opportunity is a part of some weird scam conspiracy?
Some base their crazed conclusions on bad personal experiences that stemmed less from a corrupt business than from their own inabilities. People who fail to read the fine print, who can’t differentiate between guaranteed payments and prize opportunities, who aren’t willing to follow directions for survey completion and others who simply didn’t do things the right way have a tendency to gripe like crazy to everyone who will read or listen.
There’s also the pessimism factor. The Internet is littered with countless scams and massive quantities of over-hyped "biz opps". Jaded after falling for one too many of these rotten deals, many people automatically assume that every online earning plan is either part of the "big lie" or completely impossible. They fail to recognize the underlying logic of the paid survey business (companies understand that good market research is critical to their success and they will pay to acquire the public’s opinions) and issue knee-jerk criticisms.
Another problem is the unfortunate fact that there are a few bad apples in the big ol’ barrel of online surveys. There are survey opportunities that fail to pay up. There are nefarious bad guys out there running phony surveys. It happens. It happens rarely, but it does happen. It certainly doesn’t happen enough to de-legitimize paid surveys, but you wouldn’t realize that if you listen to the critics. Just remember, there are countless wholly legitimate paid survey opportunities available.
If you want to make some extra cash via the Internet, free-to-take online surveys are a great idea. If you can find a well-established source of solid paid survey leads, there is no reason to heed the warnings issued by those who prefer griping and complaining to making money.
